At first I absolutely loved management but after dealing with Charles I regret renting here. To start off carpets are cheap and my brand new vacuum would ruin it. Then my Ac broke on multiple occasions, only plus side was maintenance was prompt and friendly. There are German shepherds at the complex that are aggressive and lunge at other animals and people. Walls are so thin I can hear my neighbors below me. 6 months prior to my lease ending Charles called my husband and told him the call was our 60 day notice, what he was supposed to tell us is we needed to put in our written notice, two different things. Any time we had questions regarding the lease and ending it due to already renting a new one he was very rude and condescending. When turning in our keys my mother had questions regarding the severe jump in rent and he became defensive and rude immediately. All she asked was how the complex decided the change in rent of a difference of almost $1100. He avoided her questions and became irate that she was asking him and told us "One of the residents can talk to Stephanie Thursday." And would not say anything else. He proceeded to become more and more irritated with us trying to finish up and told us to leave because my mother "accused him of extortion". Which she did not. She did at one point say she was concerned with the jump saying "it's almost like extortion, I just want to understand the difference" he would not tell us anything. He took our keys and gate fobs but due to him yelling at my mother that she needed to leave did not get my forwarding address. We did tell him he was being extremely rude and he admitted that "apparently that's what the people at this apartment think of me." Obviously I am not the only one with a problem. I have no problem paying out my lease but now I am concerned Charles will find a way to retaliate. His behavior needs to be addressed by higher management as it is unacceptable. I will be calling corporate immediately as well.
